Animal welfare experts, veterinarians and representatives of Piedmont regional scientific institutes and of the Italian Ministry of Health will gather in Turin on Thursday 17 November for a seminar on the ‘Protection of Exotic Animals’.

The aim of the event, which is open to 50 participants only, is to analyse the existing legislation for the protection of captive animals and how that legislation is enforced, with a particular focus on the situation in Italy.

The Born Free Foundation’s EU Zoo Enquiry will be presented too, along with talks on CITES implementation data and updates on the effects of Italian legislation on animal welfare.
