Much is known about what motivates people and lies behind their attitudes and behaviours, but this field of knowledge is often under-utilised by vets, behaviourists, trainers and other professionals working with animal owners. This ultimately means that advice, recommendations and educational outreach are less effective than they could be.
A seminar on Human Behaviour Change organised by the Change for Animals Foundation will take place in Farnham, Surrey (UK) on 18 September.
The objective of the event is to provide vets, behaviourists and trainers with an opportunity to learn about and share some of the things that work to increase motivation, compliance and ultimately a positive outcome for animals.
You can see the event programme and registration details on the Learning About Animals website.
