They are part of a broader project that promotes Companion Animal Responsible Ownership (CARO) in Europe, and an element of this work has been the organisation of conferences, seminars and an expert group on the identification & registration of companion animals.

Tens of thousands of people from all over the world have visited these websites. After an initial re-styling at the end of 2014, the promoters of the project* are now asking visitors to the CAROdog and CAROcat websites to express their views on what they find most interesting and useful, and what extra features they would like to see.

The surveys are already online for you to complete. There are two separate questionnaires, one for each of the websites.

If you want to have your say on the future of these important projects for the welfare of dogs and cats in Europe, visit the websites today (remember to enable pop-ups if they have been disabled on your web browser).

You can start filling in the Satisfaction Survey now, by clicking here for CAROdog, and clicking here for CAROcat.

* The project is promoted by the animal welfare organisation VIER PFOTEN, and the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale dell’Abruzzo e del Molise “G. Caporale” in Teramo, Italy, with the support of the Animal Welfare Unit of the Directorate General SANTE of the European Commission and of the Federation of Veterinarians of Europe.
