Italian Horse Protection Association is a sanctuary for horses and other equines, which also works to improve existing legislation, prevent crimes against the animals, and report cases of mistreatment. In 2010 it was my honour to join the Board of IHP.

The Consortium of Mexican Universities (CUMEX) organised the Cátedra CUMEX on animal welfare at the University of Guadalajara. On 2nd June, I gave a presentation on ‘Animal Welfare and International Trade’.

Since September 2010, I have been coordinating the development of the CAROdog website and most of the activities associated with it, including a conference in Brussels in October 2010 and a conference in Vilnius in May 2011.

Since April 2011, I have been the Coordinator of the European campaign 8hours, which aims to achieve a maximum overall journey time of 8 hours for the transportation of live animals destined for slaughter, to be established at the EU level.
